In the hope that the museum will provide an opportunity for visitors to develop their imagination and expressive skills, and to help them have good memories of their summer holidays, the Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts & Culture will offer free admission for primary school children (under 13 years old) again for the month of August 2026. However, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The special exhibition "Go, go, go! Team Okyo", which can be viewed during the free admission period, features 18th century Japanese artists who innovated the world of Nihonga (Japanese Paintings). Don't miss cute doggies painted by Maruyama Okyo and Nagasawa Rosetsu.
